In this lesson I bought in a selection of brightly coloured sweets to photograph. I don't feel that this shoot went as well as my other shoot as the sweets didn't have the same bright colouring that the previous shoots had. One of the main problems with this shoot was getting the camera to focus on the sweets as they were quite small and delicate. It was also fairly difficult to arrange the sweets in an original and attractive way.
I like the above photograph because I think it is simple but also have quite a retro feel to it. I really like how the writing and heart is very visible with some missing as this continues the retro feel of the photo. To improve this I would just make sure that during the editing process I would get rid of all of the dirt marks on the background as this draws attention away from the sweet. I also really like the lighting as I think the shadow makes the photo attractive.
I chose once again to create a word out of the sweets as I did in previous shoots however I don't feel it went as well in this shoot as it has before due to the sweets being small and not as eye catching and bright as the cakes and fruit. It was also a lot more difficult to get straight lines from the sweets as they are small and a lot more were needed to create each letter. What I feel did go well was the colouring of the background which seems to have stayed similar throughout each photo.
I have once again used the sweet to spell out the word 'sweets' as this worked really well in my first and second shoot. I will consider using other food with words on like the love heart as this is an effective photograph.

These photos are a development of each other because the food itself is used to create the name of the food.
