Minimum Depth of Field - Work Diary

In this lesson we looked at how to make the minimum depth of field in photography. I think this went well as soon as I got the hang of it however this took a few approaches to get right. I think Shannon made a good model for both the natural and the man made background because her dyed blue hair clashes with the natural and sort of goes with the modernness of the man-made backgrounds. Overall I think I ended up with some very nice photographs and would use this technique in my personal project.
In this photo I used the trees and nature as the background. I really like this photograph because of the fact that Shannon is in focus and the background is not showing the minimum depth of field. I think that this is an interesting photograph because it looks as if Shannon doesn't actually belong on the background that she is on. To improve this photograph I would try more different backgrounds to get more varied results.
Once again I like this photograph because Shannon is in focus and the background is not. I also think that the light has captured the colour and brightness of Shannon's eyes and with the attractive natural background is an eye pleasing photograph.
