 The main focus in this photograph is the cake although it is slightly placed to the side however it is in sharp focus so remains the main focal point. The change in colours makes this photo attractive and against the light coloured background the cake looks colourful and stands out however has a delicate appearance.

In this photograph the cake is very central in the photo and the rest is blurred creating a good background for the cake that makes it stand out. The swirl of chocolate on the cake makes it enticing to the audience and possibly indicates that this is an advertisement style image.

In this image the fruit and chocolate are juxtaposed as the fruit is healthy and the chocolate is unhealthy however these two foods work really well together. With the dark brown and red the photo promotes devilish ideas which to some people this treat would be of the devil. The drizzled chocolate both on the pate and the cake adds temptation to the audience.

 In this image only the front food item is in focus and blurs out as the photo goes back showing the depth. Once again there is the juxtaposition of the healthy and unhealthy food. In this photograph the food has sort of been placed in a pattern and this makes an attractive photograph.

 In this photograph the different layers of the dessert create an attractive photograph. The different colours contrast against each other and against the background and the main focal point is in sharp focus whilst the background is blurred.

 Once again the healthy and unhealthy foods are juxtaposed. In this photograph the chocolate has been used to create a delicate pattern around the dessert. The sliced strawberry contrasts agains the paler colour of the actual dessert.

This photograph has an old fashioned feel to it due the use of plain popcorn being served in newspaper something far more likely to have happened in the olden days. The photo has very light tones and shades in it so makes the dark writing of the news paper stand out and makes an attractive unique photograph.

In this photograph the bright natural colours of three healthy food items have been used sort of to represent the traffic lights. Against the plain background the full colourful bowls of fruits stand out.

This photo would most likely have the intention of advertise and entice as the strawberry is surrounded by the splash of what is assumed to be cream, two foods which are well know to fit together. Against the pink coloured background the white of the cream creates a frame around the strawberry making it more visible than if it was just against the background.

This food represents the idea of a balanced diet as it shows what at first glance appears as a pile of balancing vegetables. Once you look at the photo for longer it becomes apparent that the vegetables are actually creating a creature which gives the photograph a totally different meaning.

The shape, colour and size of the fruit shown have been used on the face of the model in order to make a more interesting and unique photograph. The purple hair, tongue and eyebrows clash strongly with the orange of the fruit.

In this photo the composition is very tempting to the audience as the overflowing cake is placed with the knife next to it suggesting that you can reach out and grab a slice. It is composed so that it is just of centre which could be representing how it is just out of reach.

This photograph focuses on one individual cupcake placed directly in the centre. The chosen background is likely to be a table cloth and is quite busy so the plain pink cupcake case and white stand contrasts nicely against this. This also looks nice as because the icing on the top is embellished so being against a plain white cake stand stops the image from being to busy.

This cake is photographed against a very dark background so only really the raspberries show up against it. The red and brown tones also clash against each other. The lighting of the photograph is sort like the cake has a spot light on it making it enticing and the main focal point of the photograph.

The background of this photograph has been blurred and the pie and ice cream are in clear focus. It is likely that the aim of this photograph was to advertise and entice the audience to this food and by making it the main focus and only sharp thing in the photo it meets its aim. The contrast in the warm reds against the cold white of the ice cream also entices the audience and allows to make an assumption on the taste and texture of the foods.

This photograph not only shows one food item but instead shows something that you may have for lunch. The bright natural lighting makes the food look very enticing and because it is sitting there with a drink ready to eat would make the audience really want it. The background is more natural compared to the other images I have found which makes this seem more realistic and achievable for the audience.

This photograph shows the food item central to the photo framed by light colours. The runny of the egg yolk would be appealing to many people and it is shown being cut which would almost make the audiences mouth water. Once again this photo uses natural bright lighting as this allows the audience to get a realistic view of the food.

I really like this photograph because I think it is a really interesting way to show the different shapes, colours and textures of this fruit. I also think that the photo is quite unique and magical as it appears the bananas is floating.

This is a nice food -photography photograph because it uses many different coloured fruits to illustrate the shape of another fruit. This makes it far more interesting than if it was just a straight forward image of the pear. The main focal point is placed against a quite reflective background just to add more detail to the photograph.

Like the photograph above the different fruits have been cut un and placed together to make an more colourful, unique and interesting image of an apple. The vibrant colours of the fruit make them very appealing to the audience and against the pale background they stand out very much.

I think this is a really interesting way to do food photography because it not only focus's on the fruit and shows the shape but also creates a very interesting image with how the fruits affects the water. The blue and white background is a very sharp background for the yellow bananas to stand out against.

Unlike many of the other photographs this one is quite natural both in the composition, setting and lighting of the photo. The lighting allows the audience to see the reflective surface of the cherries and the natural green background helps them to stand out.

In this photograph the cakes are decorated in a very attractive and neat way making this a very attractive and colourful. They are also decorated to be flowers which are natural however the cakes, icing and colourings are unlikely to be natural so this there for gives the audience more conviction that these cakes are not unhealthy for you. The slightly angled composition of the box makes the photo more relaxed as apposed to it being really staged and set up.

The image to the right of the book front is an image taken from a recipe book. The cake that is the main focus is placed centrally in the photo and uses cream and brown colours which work well together. The cake is seen with others the same and on a nice doily so is an overall attractive photograph.

This photograph shows the strawberries in clear focus against the blurred image of the cake. This could be relevant to the countries recent interest in eating healthy. The strawberries are seen more against the white background possibly representing natural and clean where as the cake is against a black background representing negativity.
