I have chosen Christina Otero as my photographer one as she has a very unique and interesting style when it comes to food photography. Where as most food photographers avoid using models and just have the food as the main focus, Christina uses models as sort of a canvas to illustrate feature of different fruits. Despite the fact most food photographers would feel using a model would distract from the main focus of the photo, Christina's foods still very much remain the main focal point of the photograph.
This second photograph also features a model with very strong facial expression and has once again used make up in order to represent the food. The bright positive colours and attractive model make this a very interesting and eye-catching photograph. In each of her photographs the model is always central to the picture making her the main focus point however in each photo the girl is also being covered up in someway by the food which brings the audiences attention to this.
In this photograph the model is once again given yellow make up and star shape to give a good representation of the food being photographed. In each photo the model is shown to have the food in contact with her mouth. This shows both the model and the food to be enticing and gives each photo a sexy feel to it. This model has also been given pale skin which contrast with the light insides of the fruit and darker shade skin.
In this image the food is once again in contact with the models mouth emphasising that it is a food item. In this photograph however the model has very pale skin and red eyes against a very dark and bland background so unlike her other photographs has a more negative unhappy feel to it.
Influence - This photographers work will influence my own work in the use of bright positive colours and models in order to create attractive and sexy food photography.
This photographer has inspired this shoot because I have used a model in the shoot and have picked the colouring in the make up to match the colour of the cherries on top of the cake just as this photographer has done with her photography. I have also given the photograph a black and white colouring in order to make the colour stand out as much as possible.
Summary - Overall I love this photographers use of bright vibrant colours against dar background as these are very unique photographs.
