Personal Shoot 2 - Work diary

In this lesson I took my ideas from last lesson but changed the objects in my photographs to fruit. This went really well due to the huge range in brightly coloured and interesting shapes available in the supermarket. I took both groups of the fruit together and on there own in order to have exactly the shots I need for when it came to editing. What worked really well with this shoot is that the colours of the fruit clashed and showed out against each other and the plain white background. Something I really like about this shoot is that the fruits colours and shapes are entirely natural. In order to improve this shoot I would experiment with using different backgrounds just so that I get some different photos.

I think this photograph works well as it is clear what the fruit has spelled out, to improve however i would try and place fruit next to each other a bit closer size as it does alter the shapes of the letters quite a lot. I would also try and keep the background as close to a white shade as possible so it is easy to put the photographs together to make a word.

What I like about this photograph is that none of the fruits that can be seen are whole so this makes it an interesting abstract style photograph. To improve this photo I would just mix the fruit up a little bit as in the top right hand corner the red fruits do not stand out against each other. If I were to do this shoot again I would use even more bright and exotic fruits as I think these have worked out very well.

I have developed this from my first shoot as I felt the letters are an effective way to present the food. I also created an animation which worked really well and therefore will continue this technique throughout my work.
